Ok so during the hols that's when the intense training started. Most of the training have to run 4.3km in the morning before rowing, so i guess our stamina improved a lot from all those running session. haha imba kelvin with a big tummy peak timing was 17:33, O.o damn fast.

So it was around mid-nov or end-nov that we got paired up and assigned fo SCM (singapore canoe marathon). T1- cyrus, kelvin, winnie, jessie. K1-wei bin, justin, vernissa, rachel. k2- zhi kang & yi yong, de jun & yan xiang, me & zhen yong, angel & yi ling. Ok so that's the pairing. Every training consists of us chiong rowing 6 rounds around the reservoir and a few simulated pottages ( running on the galleria)

So on 16th Jan we moved the boats down to kallang reservoir and did a tour on the circuit. Haha scenery there owns br scenery, can row by Singapore flyer and see the IR although none of us paid attention to that during the race.

17th Jan was the big day. All of us got there early. Haha guess most of us were tense since it's our 1st major competition. Damn lots of boats there as well, probably about a hundred or more boats on the morning race.

so the results for SCM was : K2-me & zy 6th. Angel & yi ling 8th. T1- kelvin 1st. k1- rachel 4th, vernisa 5th.

haha jasper here to do some update on the blog. 09 canoeing batch career just ended yesterday after PA300.Won a few medals, k4girls (bronze), sit-on-top(bronze) and T1(silver) along with several others semi-finalists and finalists. Stay tune for the 09 batch update cuz i have to sort through my memory bank and remember what happen during my batch.

a total of 22 K1s. lucky them. 想当年you ppl only had tigers and raptors...

Vajda Accelero S

Here is the new addition to our canoeing fleet...the Vajda Accelero S!



From what Mr Chua said, this is the one of the two Vajdas in Singapore! The other Vajda is green on the top and white at the bottom.

Flag(pole) Of Our Fathers (Canoeists?!?)

This happened today (04/05/09) during training...together with mr chua, the J1 guys helped the school attendant coil back the rope of the flag pole after it dropped when she was lowering the national flag at around 6 plus. After much effort, it was done, and it created "history"?!?...haha refer below please!...
